Posting Insurance Refunds

Please see the following steps for posting an insurance refund.

From the Claims Transaction Detail screen: 
1. Click on the charge line to be refunded.
2. In the box that opens below, use the drop-down box labeled Transactions and select "Refund Insurance" (make sure the debtor is the insurance company requesting the refund).
3. Next to the white Amount box, enter only the dollar amount you want to refund for that line item.
4. You can enter remarks with a check number to add to the audit trail.
5. Click the Add to Preview button and see if the balance is correct.
6. Click the Commit Preview button if you agree, or Undo if you disagree.
7. Click the Refresh Data and give the system a few minutes to post and update.
