Group NPI and 33B Forced Exceptions
Here is the logic around these fields:
Group Taxonomy code for Box 33B in below case is being picked from Settings > Account > Group Taxonomy code in paper claim
1. If Group Taxonomy code is blank in Forced exception, it goes to next level and pick from Settings > Account > Group Taxonomy code and shows in paper claim.
2. If Group Taxonomy code is present in 'Forced exception', the forced exception will override the Settings > Account > Group Taxonomy code and will show up in the paper claim.
So, in this case if Taxonomy code is to be shown only for few of the combinations criteria then that has to be defined in 'Forced exception' and settings > Account > Forced exception field should be left blank.
**** If you are not wanting to use the above workflows then, you could add in a paper claim edit that is payer. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
