Here are the steps for manually printing a Past Due patient statement Precollection Letters after printing the Past Due Accounts Report.
• From the Billing Manager
• Go to the Claim General Tab
• Look up a patient from the Past Due Accounts Report
• Click on the (…) for patient demographics page
• Click on the Statement tab in the Patient Demo page
• Check the box labeled “ Send Pre-Collection Letters”
• Close the Patient demo page
• Click on Practice Management
• Select the option “Print”
• Select the option “Statement”
• Click the Print button and then close the Preview Patient Statement box once printed
• Click on the (…) for patient demographics page again
• Click on the Statement tab in the Patient Demo page
• Locate the Hold Statements / Reason for Holding Statements
• Select the option Precollection Letters
• The patient’s record will now have statements on hold and be in Precollection status
You may want to add notes to your patients account if more detail is needed. A system generated note will appear in the notes for placing the statements on hold for Precollection Letters.
