Manual Printing of Precollection Letters

Here are the steps for manually printing a Past Due patient statement Precollection Letters after printing the Past Due Accounts Report.
From the Billing Manager
Go to the Claim General Tab
Look up a patient from the Past Due Accounts Report
Click on the (…) for patient demographics page
Click on the Statement tab in the Patient Demo page
Check the box labeled “ Send Pre-Collection Letters”
Close the Patient demo page
Click on Practice Management
Select the option “Print”
Select the option “Statement”
Click the Print button and then close the Preview Patient Statement box once printed
Click on the (…) for patient demographics page again
Click on the Statement tab in the Patient Demo page
Locate the Hold Statements / Reason for Holding Statements
Select the option Precollection Letters
The patient’s record will now have statements on hold and be in Precollection status
You may want to add notes to your patients account if more detail is needed. A system generated note will appear in the notes for placing the statements on hold for Precollection Letters.
