Patient Insurance Eligibility Verification
Real-time Verification
In the Billing applet,
- Go to the Patients
- Select a Patient
- Go to the Insurance tab
- Click the Eligibility button or double-click the Insurance that you want to verify
In the Scheduling applet
- Make a new appointment or click on an existing appointment
- Choose "Check Now" in the Eligibility section
Automated Eligibility Verification
- Daily, automated verification based on appointments listed in the ProviderSuite Scheduling module.
- You select how many days in advance to verify appointments.
- ProviderSuite then sends a daily batch file to the clearinghouse.
- ProviderSuite receives a response batch file back and updates the Patient record.
- Results visible in Scheduling, in Billing > Patient Demographics, and via a report
Open a ticket with PracticeAdmin Support to turn on Automated Eligibility Verification.
Costs
- $0.25 per verification request under the default A La Carte plan
- Or you can sign up for a bundle plan that offers discounts
