How to confirm your version of Microsoft .NET Framework
- Click in the search box on the Start bar
- Type "cmd" and press Enter
- A Command Prompt window will open
- Enter the following string at the > prompt and press Enter: reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Net Framework Setup\NDP\v4" /s
- If .NET Framework version 4 or higher is installed on the computer, a list of .NET components will appear.
- Look for the Version at the end of one of the component sections to confirm the version installed.
- Enter "exit" at the at the > prompt and press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.
