How to change the Multiplier for Charge Master Fees

To Change the Multiplier for Medicare fees by following these steps

Note: You must be an "Account Manager" user in ProviderSuite to perform this task. If you do not have access to the Settings tab in the ProviderSuite, please forward these instructions to another user with Account Manager permissions.

  1. Go to Settings Tab
  2. Select Fees (on blue strip)
  3. Under Charge Master click on Edit / View
  4. Single Click on the Charge master to be update and press the Next button
  5. Click Next again
  6. Change the field labelled " Default fee multiplier for facility charges (Institutional) & Default fee multiplier for non-facility charges (Professional) :"  If updated to 200% this is 2 times the Medicare Fee Schedule
  7. Click the Save & next button at the bottom of the page
  8. Spot check the fee amounts for your CPT codes to make sure you agree with the update
  9. Click the Finish button to complete the changes.
