Error: This insurance record can not be deleted
You are receiving this error message because the system does not want you to remove an insurance plan from a patient's record when there are still open claims attached.
If you have added insurance plans in error and are receiving messages that you can't remove plans linked to unpaid claims, please take the following actions.
- Select the plan that you want to remove.
- Change the plan to the first plan in the list. To see the list of available plans make sure that you backspace out of the plan that is shown.
- Click Update EXISTING insurance. You'll get a pop up about the effective dates, select NO.
- Select the plan that you just saved and select Remove.
- Repeat steps as needed.
