Note: You must be an "Account Manager" user in ProviderSuite to perform this task. If you do not have access to the Setup tab in the ProviderSuite, please forward these instructions to another user with Account Manager permissions.
Your account's addresses are configured on the Settings Tab > Account Sub Tab
Please consider the following Medicare requirements when entering addresses:
Physical Addresses
Requirement: Claims submitted to Medicare can no longer have a Post Office Box as the Physical Address of the Provider. The Pay To Address can remain a PO Box.
What is PracticeAdmin doing?: Our software can already store a Physical Address that is different from the Pay To Address. We have also updated our software to send the Physical Address in addition to the Pay To Address. Once you replace any PO Boxes with a street address, the claim should be processed normally.
What do I need to do?: Review the Setup -> General screen in PA Billing for each of your practices and ensure that the Physical Address does not use a PO Box. If it does, please replace with the street address of the practice.
ZIP+4
Requirement: Claims submitted to Medicare must include a full nine-digit ZIP Code (known as a ZIP+4) for all practice and facility addresses. Patient addresses can continue to have a five-digit or nine-digit ZIP Code.
What is PracticeAdmin doing?: Our software can already accept nine-digit ZIP Codes. For the practice, these can be edited on the Setup -> General screen in PA Billing. For Facilities, the ZIP Code is edited on the Setup -> Facilities screen.
What do I need to do?: Review the Setup -> General screen in PA Billing for each of your practices and ensure that each ZIP Code has nine digits in the format nnnnn-nnnn. Do the same for each of the Facilities under each Practice on the Setup -> Facilities screen. (You can determine the correct ZIP+4 value on the US Postal Service web site at http://bit.ly/qD2A1v)
